Cultural exchange on Children's Day

The campaign is an educational initiative dedicated to children from vulnerable communities, which aims to transform Children’s Day into an experience of learning, discovery and personal development, by organizing an educational cultural exchange between two schools from different counties.

The campaign offers children the opportunity to explore other communities, interact with new role models and broaden their horizons beyond their usual environment.

Social Context

1 in 3 children in Romania grow up without access to experiences that show them that the world is bigger than the place where they were born. For children from vulnerable communities, a trip, a friendship from another county or participation in educational activities often remain a dream.

The lack of these experiences means not only the absence of joy, but also the loss of real chances to build their confidence, aspirations and hope for a different future.

Children from vulnerable communities have limited access to:

  • non-formal educational experiences,
  • mobility and interaction with other communities,
  • positive role models from outside their immediate environment.

For many of these students, a multi-day trip or a visit to another county is a first.

The lack of these experiences contributes to social isolation and a decrease in confidence in their own potential.

Children’s Day is a symbolic moment that offers us the ideal framework to transform a celebration into an experience with a long-term effect.

How can companies and employees get involved?

For children, it matters who is with them. This project was conceived as an active partnership, in which the company’s involvement is felt, seen and leaves positive traces in their lives.
