A project supported by

ASSA Camps
They are a natural continuation of the direct interaction that we want to have with all the children who benefit from our projects.
They also represent a preamble to the camps that we will organize within the ASSA Medical and Educational Campus, which we will build approximately 30 km from Bucharest.

In Romania, over 1.5 million children live at risk of poverty and social exclusion, and more than half of them come from rural areas. In marginalized areas, access to non-formal education, sports and culture is almost non-existent, which deeply affects the emotional, social and physical development of children.
Beyond the numbers, these children lack not only material resources, but also encouragement, opportunities and emotional security. They are the “invisible” children, growing up in villages forgotten by the world, without access to educational, cultural or recreational activities that would open up their horizons.

What are we doing in ASSA Camps ?

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Childhood games, movies, theater, themed parties.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES
Play and movement, therapeutic circles, competitions

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Visits to museums, modeling and painting workshops, horseback riding, first aid courses, kayaking and canoeing initiation, orientation and survival courses, cooking and nutrition courses, etc.

National Table Tennis Championship for Vulnerable Communities
A concept with national visibility.
It will be held within the framework of the “Unseen Children from Forgotten Places” Project.
Within the framework of the Table Tennis Championship, integrated into each edition of the Assa camps, children learn not only the rules of a game, but also lessons of patience, fair play, perseverance and collaboration. It is a framework in which success does not depend on the environment you come from, but on involvement and courage.
By promoting table tennis, the project contributes to the healthy integration of children into social life, offers them an environment in which they are encouraged, supported and seen as equals. In the end, it is not just about sport – it is about offering these children a framework where they can discover who they are and what they can become.
What is the purpose of the championship ?
Our goal is to...
every participating child leaves the camp stronger, more confident and better prepared to imagine a better future. The project thus contributes to combating isolation and inequalities, offering not just a camp, but a real opportunity for transformation and hope
We discover new communities to support based on their needs
Through the ping-pong championship, we reach vulnerable communities across the country, identify the challenges children face, and seek solutions to provide them with the support they need.
We discover children with talents
In each competition, we see children who excel not only in sports, but also in perseverance, team spirit and the desire to succeed. Through this championship, we give them the chance to discover and develop their potential.
We offer them something different, more than a championship.
During the camps, children benefit from educational sessions, nutrition workshops, and personal development activities, designed to help them grow up healthy and balanced.
