Tatiana’s story cannot be described in words because the words that encompass all the suffering and struggle of this woman have not been invented. day of Tatiana and her family.

The struggle of Tatiana and her husband began 20 years ago, when their first child, Cristian, was born.
Unfortunately, their happiness was immediately overshadowed by the dire prognoses given by the doctors: Cristian suffered from several relentless and incurable ailments — internal-external hydrocephalus, spastic tetraparesis and infantile cerebral palsy.

Despite the merciless fate, the two spouses did not lose their faith. Thus, after 3 years of Cristian’s birth, Marius-Ionuț, Cristian’s younger brother, was born, a perfectly healthy little boy who filled their hearts with joy.

Thinking that it would be very good for Marius-Ionuț to have a little brother or a little sister to play with, the two decided to have a third child. This is how Mihăita was born, who, unfortunately, was born with conditions as serious as his older brother’s. Mihăita suffers from microcephaly, spastic tetraparesis and psychomotor retardation.

For many, such a diagnosis would have meant falling into despair and depression and giving up, perhaps even abandoning their children, as, unfortunately, quite a few do, but Tatiana and her husband, Costel, dedicated her whole life to care for her children, to find any remedy that could, however little, bring them relief.

Tatiana gave up everything, even herself, living and acting only for her children! She turned into a fighter, a real guardian of the life and destiny of her children! He started looking for a place where Cristian and Mihaita could be treated properly, so that their lives could become better, and their suffering would not be so cruel. A place where she can find professionalism, but also emotional support and trust, a place where her children feel safe and understood.

After long searches, he found him at the “Dr. Nicolae Robănescu” Clinical Medical Center for Children’s Neuropsychomotor Recovery, the only medical center of this type in Bucharest. Here, God put in his way a wonderful man and an exceptional doctor, Ms. conf.dr. Liliana Pădure, medical director of the center, who gave Tatiana and her family unconditional support, hope and comfort.

The fate of Cristian and Mihaita is harsh and hard to bear: the two boys cannot walk, cannot use their hands and cannot even sit. They need constant care (mostly specialist care), need expensive treatments, massage and physiotherapy and are totally dependent on their mother.

Although her eyes are dry from so many tears, Tatiana is not afraid. She is peaceful and serene. He got over the moments when he revolted by looking up at the sky and asking “Why?”. She suffers for the fate of her children, but now she knows that they are two angels who were not sent to her by chance. Without them, Tatiana knows that she would not have been whole and thanks God for giving her and not leaving her when she was about to lose her way and her hope.

Tatiana has assumed the role of permanent protector of her children, drawing her strength from the never-ending source of infallible motherly love! Tatiana is, above all, a mother, and she knows that nothing else matters! It is her purpose!

Tatiana and her family need help, and in the struggle for her children Tatiana has no time for arrogance or pride! He is not ashamed to beg for help from those who can give it!

They need so much that they don’t even know where to start: they really need a refrigerator and to build a bathroom where they can wash the children, they need clothes, large quantities of diapers, wipes wets, laundry detergent, shower gel, cleaning products and body care, given the medical condition of the two boys who need to be changed and washed very often.

In the face of Tatiana’s suffering, determination and resignation, you feel small and ashamed of all those times when you were displeased with small and so petty things in relation to such great suffering!

Cristian and Mihăita’s letters to Santa Claus could not be written by them, unfortunately… Their mother wrote for them, who put in the pages of the letter all the suffering and pain she felt in her heart, hoping that someone would hear the cry.

Cristian and Marius-Ionuț don’t want vacations, tablets, phones or toys. They would like to be able to take a few steps, at least once in their life, or to be able to drink a glass of water by themselves… Unfortunately, for them this will never be possible, but they have a priceless gift: next to them stands a fearless angel, their mother !

But their mother needs help! She needs people to support her, to be by her side! Last but not least, she herself, Tatiana, must be healthy to be able to be with Cristian and Mihăita!

But, unfortunately, the lack of money did not allow her to take proper care of herself and take the treatment recommended by the gynecologist. Although she was advised to definitely take him, Tatiana put herself aside and used the little money she had for the two boys, who are dearer to her than anything in the world!
Christmas is coming… on TV we are flooded with movies and commercials that urge us to get into the Holiday spirit, to do more and more expensive shopping and to cook goodies.
It’s time to truly understand what the spirit of Christmas is and help, without hesitation, unconditionally!
Tatiana and her family need us! Let’s give them a ray of sunshine and a glimmer of hope! Let’s not forget that our true purpose in the world is to be PEOPLE!
