„The star” is the potential of every child: abilities, dreams and aspirations that need guidance to be seen.
Why there is a need for this project ?
The transition from middle school to high school is one of the most vulnerable moments in the educational journey.
1 in 6 students from rural areas does not reach high school
The dropout rate at the transition from eighth to ninth grade was 15.3% in rural areas, and less than 3% in urban areas.
The project's Objectives
- Increased level of school motivation and educational clarity for 20 students, measured through pre/post intervention questionnaires.
- Reducing the risk of school dropout during the transition to ninth grade for at least 80% of eighth grade students included in the program.
- Active involvement of a minimum of 10 parents and 5 teachers in the educational support process.
- Creating an educational mentoring model with the involvement of corporate volunteers

"Cicu has his star too"
Cicu, a 12-year-old boy, left on the road with his mother, has a dream: that life could look different if we, all the rest of us, understood and felt that goodness and beauty are all that matters in this world!
Cicu and his mother live in a social settlement offered with love and kindness by those who have understood that indifference is not the answer, but involvement and solidarity!
Cicu has a dream! To be able to train in a center or in a football club, where he can freely practice his soul game, the game that makes him forget all the hardships and feel fulfilled.
“I want so much to be able to play, so that then I can offer, in turn, to be able to make a team with other children like me, here, in this settlement!” says Cicu shyly, but with a sparkle in his eyes that betrays his emotion.
Through his attitude, Cicu doesn’t just offer those around him an example, he offers a lesson! The precious lesson of kindness, generosity, and innocence of soul, which were not altered by the hardships he went through!
You can help, support, and smile at those around you even if you have nothing… It costs us nothing to be human, but it can offer us so much!
