Through the ASSA Caravan, we aim to:
- Identifying vulnerable communities and specific needs, especially children and mothers who need support, and implementing social programs at local and national levels;
- Developing new partnerships with local authorities, physical and legal actors, from each community we will support;

How does the ASSA Caravan unfold?
Local forum titled
"A society without barriers - the importance of cultivating moral, ethical values and socio-emotional skills among children!"
The local forum is a formal meeting, to which representatives of local authorities, institutions in the field of health, child protection and education, local non-governmental organizations, experts in the topics addressed, journalists, strategic partners of the ASSA Foundation, as well as representatives of companies with activities in vulnerable or neighboring communities are invited.
The forum will discuss various topics, adapted to the needs identified in vulnerable communities, including: access to health services, education and social inclusion, protection of child rights, social protection and psychological support, as well as the promotion of civic participation and human rights.
At the end of the discussions, all identified needs will be centralized and the local action plan will be formulated, which will include concrete measures and the strategy necessary for their implementation, taking into account the specifics and particularities of each vulnerable community.
Workshop for mothers
Mothers from vulnerable communities will have the opportunity to participate in specialized information and guidance workshops, supported by experts in various fields, such as psychotherapy, neurofeedback, nutrition and other relevant fields, designed to support their personal development and provide them with tools to improve the quality of their lives and those of their families.
Presentation of the project “Alongside mothers we raise people” –
Mentoring program – Vocational guidance workshops; personal development workshops; entrepreneurship courses (including social entrepreneurship); neurofeedback;
Parenting courses – Mothers enrolled in this project will benefit from useful information about parenting, maintaining children’s health within parenting courses;
Group and individual psychotherapy sessions – Within this activity, we focus on the needs of mothers, providing a safe and empathetic space to explore the challenges and joys of motherhood, as well as personal ones. In this group, we focus on mutual support and encouraging positive personal and parental growth;
Facilitating access to projects through European funds by eligible mothers or accredited courses, depending on the PEO projects being implemented – sending newsletters, facilitating the writing of projects for non-reimbursable funds, accessing accredited courses.
Workshop experts: Delia Rus, Raluca Chisu, Roxana Anca Simionescu
Creative workshops and excursion
Children from vulnerable communities will have the opportunity to participate in educational and recreational workshops designed to stimulate their intellectual development, creativity and social skills.
These activities will be adapted to their specific needs, offering them a safe and supportive environment to learn through play, interact with other children and actively engage in various educational activities, designed to contribute to their harmonious development.
Through these activities, we will encourage children to work as a team, to understand the importance of collaboration and solidarity within the group, thus stimulating essential skills for their social development. In addition, we will promote active involvement in various civic activities, encouraging them to become aware of their role in the community and the social responsibility they have towards others.
These experiences will contribute not only to their personal development, but also to the formation of a pro-active and committed attitude towards the problems facing society.
Depending on the specifics of each city, we will organize educational trips to museums, botanical gardens, zoos or other points of cultural and educational interest in the locality, offering children the opportunity to discover and actively learn about the diversity of the surrounding environment.
Also, in collaboration with the identified ambassadors, we will try to organize a demonstration wheelchair basketball match or other inclusive sports activities, in which children will be directly involved, thus having the opportunity to understand the importance of accessibility and diversity in sports, but also to develop collaboration skills and mutual respect.
