THE STORY OF THE POPARLAN FAMILY

Gheorghe Popârlan is the father of three children and dedicates all his energy to raising them and giving them everything he can.

His family lives modestly in their small house in the village of Țădaru, Brăila County, and their life is a daily struggle, as it happens for many families in similar situations.

Through this letter, Gheorghe has put a piece of his soul on paper.

He asked for our support to be able to give his children the things they need and that he cannot obtain on his own.

It is a simple and sincere gesture, which speaks of the responsibility and deep love of a father for his children.

Among the things the family needs are: larger bed sheets, an electric oven, a refrigerator, a washing machine, as well as basic foodstuffs – oil, sugar, flour, rice, broth and napkins.

In addition, Gheorghe did not forget to mention the wishes of his children who, like all children, want clothes, shoes, toys and sweets.

These are simple things, but unfortunately for this family they are impossible to obtain without support:

•  Victoria (11 years old): clothes size 36 (children 140–146 cm), sneakers no. 36, a dress size 128, a puzzle, a doll and a kendama;

•Gabriel (7 years old): clothes size 122–128, a tracksuit size 134, a schoolbag, a toy car and a kendama;

•Mădălin (14 years old): clothes size M, spring jackets size M, boots no. 43 or sneakers and a kendama.

Gheorghe Popârlan’s gesture reminds us that a parent’s love is unconditional, deep and selfless.

It is a love that does not wait for recognition and is not measured in words or benefits, but is seen in the daily efforts to offer children everything they can, even when resources are limited and life painfully imposes heavy sacrifices.

The Popârlan family is one of thousands of vulnerable families who need support to cope with everyday deprivations.

Through our Easter campaign, “The Miracle Together”, we come to their aid.
