Assa Foundation’s Activites in August

Dear friends and supporters,

We are excited to tell you about the latest actions and achievements of the ASSA Foundation in the month of August 2024.

The month of August was a time of memories, of beautiful stories told out loud about the brave and generous people I have met over time, who are constantly devoting themselves to a noble cause: to help children from vulnerable backgrounds . We also recall the important events, the actions that the ASSA Foundation has carried out and that have brought it closer to its basic mission: to improve the lives of children who are seriously ill or in disadvantaged situations.

Campaigns carried out

This year we ran the second edition of the “First time at school” Campaign, which had as beneficiaries 105 children from vulnerable environments such as Teleorman county (Uda Clocociov), Ilfov (Periș, Merii Petchii) and Constanța (Siliștea, Topraisar, Medgidia) . The main objective of this project is to raise awareness and sensitize people about the lacks that children in these localities face at the start of the first year of school and to collect funds or materials they need.

At this moment, the ASSA Foundation is in the last phase of the project, in the stage where the 105 fully equipped backpacks will reach the beneficiaries. With your help, we managed not only to bring the project to the end, providing the children with all the necessary materials to have a good start at school, but also to spread hope for a better future.

Fairs and workshops

At the end of the month, we mark the end of summer by attending the “Family Picnic”, the special “Back to School” edition of the Social Moms community where good will and maximum fun best defined the atmosphere.

During the event, the ASSA Foundation organized a charity workshop where it created several wonders: bookmarks and drawings on figurines in the “Back to school” theme. Many children were involved in this workshop, where they had the opportunity to express their creativity and discover new skills. The objects made by their skillful hands could be kept later as a memento of the moment, but also to be used meaningfully at the start of school.

New contributors and supporters

The actions of the ASSA Foundation were and are possible thanks to the hearty people who unceasingly support its cause. Strong people like Monica Pușcoiu, fueled by the intense desire to do good, to leave their mark, came to the Foundation to make a difference in the world.

Full of energy, enthusiasm, original ideas and a lot of optimism, Monica is always in action, and her consummate talent is also her great passion: creating delicious and, last but not least, healthy sweets!

Mother, master confectioner and businesswoman, all superlatives, Monica found the perfect formula to combine all three of her great loves: Maia, her little girl, confectionery and business – that’s how she set about inventing sweet, savory recipes, but healthy, for the little ones, using only natural ingredients and eliminating sugar, which we all know is not really recommended for small appetites.

Now, we are happy to announce that Monica has officially become an ambassador for the ASSA Foundation, and we are very proud to have her. We welcome him and look forward to making a real impact together in the lives of children who need help the most.
