The first half of 2025 was a carousel of emotions, challenges, successes and countless smiles for the ASSA Foundation.
Our efforts were materialized in educational projects, social campaigns and direct interventions that brought joy, hope and support where it was needed most.
We lived intensely, met extraordinary people and fully felt the power of the community – because together we managed to give meaning to good and transform each initiative into a ray of hope.
We draw a line over the six months that have just ended and look back with gratitude at all the beautiful things built together with you.
Every project, every action and every smile of the children motivated us to move forward, with confidence and determination.
Camps and trips – an explosion of joy for 149 children
2 camps organized for children from the communities of Potlogi (Dâmbovița County) and Uda & Mândra (Teleorman County)
1 trip to Destiny Park for children from the community of Nuci (Ilfov County)
2 trips to MINA Bucharest – Museum of Immersive Art for children from the Corbeanca Educational Center and the community of Nuci
Ping-pong Championship – 2 stages, 4 communities (Nuci, Potlogi, Uda, Mândra), 149 children involved
The “Miracle of TOGETHER” campaign brought joy and concrete support to 200 families and 341 children (167 girls and 174 boys), providing them with basic food, hygiene products, sweets and toys where they were most needed.
The campaign reached 9 communities: Nuci and Găneasa (Ilfov), Boldești-Scăeni and Cocorăști (Prahova), Uda and Mândra (Teleorman), Bogdănești (Vaslui), Comana (Constanța), AFANU (Bucharest)
The ASSA caravan brought joy to Craiova and Iași, through two editions held in March and June, bringing together 55 participants at the round tables, including local authorities, NGOs and specialists.
Also, 35 mothers participated in workshops, and 47 vulnerable children enjoyed special activities and excursions.
Also in Iași, we also visited the social centers, Holban and Bucium and the “15 Ethos” Special School where we brought gifts and smiles for the little ones.
The pilot project “Friendship Shield – How to say STOP bullying!”, held between March and June at the Gymnasium No. 156 in Bucharest, involved 25 children in 6 thematic workshops dedicated to bullying prevention. The initiative was supported by Alka Romania, our reliable partner.
The “Connections and Interactions” Conference, 2nd Edition – an authentic space for dialogue, where emotion and education intertwined to support vulnerable children and the communities they are part of.
We intervened punctually where real needs require help with a profound impact: in Bogdănești, Vaslui, we donated a carpet for a kindergarten classroom and a laptop for education.
In Coțofenii din Dos, Dolj, a laptop reached a child with special needs, and in Găneasa, Ilfov, we offered furniture, including a bed and wardrobe, for little Beatrice.
Also, at the “Grigore Alexandrescu” Hospital, we brought Easter gifts to children in the pediatric surgery department.
We supported and continue to support little Alexandra’s monthly therapy sessions, essential therapy for her chance to ever walk.
We were meaningfully present at events dedicated to the community, donating 500 products and supporting two mentions at CONAF – the Marathon for Entrepreneurial Education.
We also organized creative workshops for the little ones at Social Moms – Family Picnic and presented ASSA projects at the Fitness Evolution Summit where we had an interactive booth.
We have experienced a lot. We have witnessed life stories that moved us and empowered us.
In all our actions, children have been the center of our universe. Their curious gaze, their need for support and the trust they have given us have shown us, once again, why it is important to be present – active, sincere and involved.
Children grow from the trust we show them, from the encouraging voice, from the non-judgmental gaze. They need to be seen, heard and supported. They need to know that they are not alone.
Everything we have managed to do in these six months has been possible thanks to you – partners, collaborators, donors, volunteers and supporters of good.
